    Have you ever done anything nice for van drivers?Our study of 500 delivery workers revealed 8 in 10 reckon they are the unsung heroes of the UK, and 90% say a compliment, a thank you or a cuppa can make their day. Many have been invited in to use the toilet, some have received celebrity autographs, selfies and even personal thank-you notes. OnePoll’s latest research for Zego looked at the nicest things people have done for van drivers. Our research found that some van drivers have been treated to tea and coffee, chocolates and the luckiest ones secured roast dinners.🚚 85% feel their customers appreciate them and the work they do.📦 73 per cent said a negative interaction can ruin their day.📮 80% claim it would help them to feel more Christmassy if they received a tip or festive treat from someone they delivered to.Sten Saar, CEO at Zego, added: “They're not just drivers; they're individuals, so a small gesture, like a smile or a thank you, can turn a routine delivery into a meaningful interaction, creating a positive atmosphere for everyone involved.” We also found that 90% of van drivers go out of their way for those who have been really kind to them in the past.     It's the 'little moments of delight'.I had a fantastic conversation with Deirdre Boyle from Flybuys this week who used this wonderful term.At the Coles Group checkout on Saturday my shop was rather large. The staff member asked me if wanted to take $170 off my shop with my Flybuys points.Why not?! Heaps of extra value from doing something I'm doing anyway.It's the little moments of delight, the unexpected, those are the moments which wow us.
